Megan Nicole at The Roxy 2013

I’d seen Megan Nicole perform at VidCon earlier this month and enjoyed her music, and when I heard she had one of her first headlining concert coming up at The Roxy I thought I would check it out. I’d previously seen Lindsey Stirling perform there so I was familiar with the venue and knew you could get right up to the stage. The place was pretty packed, but I got there early and was able to find a spot next to the stage with a great view this time.

The opening bands were Pop! Fiction and A+ Dropouts, and Megan even had some special guests for a few songs: Tiffany Alvord and Prophet from 7Lions. It was a great show, the crowd loved her, plus I got some really nice pictures. I’m looking forward to her next tour.

VidCon 2013 Concert

Although I didn’t get tickets to VidCon itself, I still headed down the the Anaheim Convention Center to check out their free concert last Thursday. I was mainly there to see Lindsey Stirling, but I got to see some other great performers too!

I’d come a few hours early, though I was still a ways back from the main stage. This did give me a chance to use my 70-200 lens though, and I was able to get some pretty decent shots. And listen to great music at the same time!
